| Garden of Paradise The world called Assiah is dying. A once glorious empire lies broken in two. War has raged for thousands of years, each side seeking the vaunted "Power of Paradise", the key to an undying land, the pleasure garden of God himself. As the remnants of the Dalia Empire tear each other and the land apart in their search, they speed the death throes of the very planet they live on. Technology has been bent and twisted towards the single driving goal of the "Paradise Wars", the desire for immortality. Religion has become a harsh and unending jihad. The population of this world has been swept up by those in power into a raging storm, one which will not subside until it's ruinious end. One of those caught in this torrent of destruction is a young man named Jesod. A cadet in the Dalia Military academy, he is being trained to combat the heretic nation of Pistis. But he soon realizes that the truth of things may be much darker than the shiny stories he has been told to believe. With an ever growing group of friends, Jesod sets out to find out for himself the true fate of the mighty Emperor-Saint Dalia. Can the people of this world stand up for themselves and avert disaster? Will either side win this battle and open the gates to a new world, or will they both be torn asunder by their greed? Can the "truth" truly set you free? |
